What's your review of Cochlear Osia 2 System?

Howdy. My doctor actually recommended doing one side first, and waiting a year or two before deciding on the second one.
I also have bilateral hearing loss, but so far, the single Osia 2 is enough for me.

My concern would be if I only had a single implant and that one was lost or stopped working I would be unable to communicate. Makes me anxious if one of my In canal aids stops working, Thanks for your input. Tom

I was implanted with one CI in 2005. I requested it be done on my poorer ear. Now, that ear is the 'better' ear due to the CI. While I qualify for a 2nd CI, I've hesitated because my bimodal tests show that I'm hearing 93% with both technologies. Should my tests show a decline in the future, I would not hesitate to go bilateral. We are living in such wonderful times with the options available to us. It has helped me so much to meet and talk to other people like me! I credit The Hearing Loss Assn. of American for that.
