PTSD and learning to cope living with cancer
I thought after that five year mark that I honestly lived through the fears of reoccurrence. Cruelly the only symptom of my pure small cell bladder cancer back in 2015 was Hematuria (blood in my urine) Has returned.
Reasonably I can tell myself that Small Cell Cancer doesn’t act like that, lying in wait for seven years…..
This is a wicked twisted waiting game.
My life will never feel the same

Tears…..
The appointment was disappointing……. Absolutely nothing happened and a cystoscopy is now scheduled for 03/29
My PTSD has subsided…. and I am thrilled to say that during my Cystoscopy I was able to see for myself. No new tumors.
@sandielegal Excellent news. I'm so happy for you.
Thank you! Any reasonable mind would have remained calm….. blood in the bowl “WAS” just the trigger to send me into Orbit. My view now of that pretty little bladder that works so well even after being radiated, Blessed to still have you!
@sandielegal Calm? One of the validating things I've learned here is that it's OK to admit I'm anything but calm while awaiting tests that have to do with cancer. I will get my first "view" at the end of April of my pelvic region following radiation therapy in December, 2021. I'm noting every little twinge as something to worry about. So, you're in good company.
Thanks for sharing your results. I like to hear such good news.
Good morning- Hello. I'm checking in to see how you have been feeling.
Merry
Hi Ginger- I've been thinking about you too! Would you and Bill be coming to the east coast at all? 🙂
I'm feeling pretty good. One new med for migraines I don't like so I stopped taking it. Maybe Botox alone will help!
How have you been feeling? Have you gotten any spring at all?
@merpreb The Smithsonian Institute is on my bucket list, but really not sure if logistics would enable me to handle the required movement to see it all. A motorized mobility aid might work, but my fatigue factor is very real.
I have signed up for a multi-day event in your neighborhood in nov 2022, but may be relegated to a virtual attendance only if I go to dialysis before then.
It's spring, then winter comes back, then spring again.
