Plantar Fasciitis: How did you get rid of it?

Thank you, I don’t have that condition but the back of my heel where the tendon attaches seems to tighten up when I am sitting or after sleeping. It acts like Plantar F. as it is painful for a few steps then is reoccurring every time I’ve been sitting. The back of my heel is swollen.
I cannot wear a closed shoe, wearing clogs only.
Any thoughts appreciated.

I had plantar fascists 30 years ago while teaching high school chemistry. I tried everything available at the time. I had a very knowledgeable and experienced doctor who suggested micro surgery. I had it done and it has never come back. Best decision i ever made.

Have you tried the usual anti-inflammatory remedies - like applying ice, elevating your feet, Would you be able to go to a physical therapist for some stretches? If your foot does not respond well to ice, heat may be better.
