I have a neurologist that I've been seeing but he won't prescribe any medication like tramadol. He told me to work with my pain management doctor so that's what I'm doing. I have another issue also had back surgery with a fusion L4 L5 and I feel it every day it's uncomfortable and affects my daily life. So I have neuropathy and my back still bothers me after 2 years since my surgery.

I would get a second opinion.Pain is a bad thing to live with and lack of sleep makes it worse in my case, and its always worse at night .I dont take a lot of meds for Neuropathy just now and again when it flares up.I work out a lot at the gym and walk a lot seems to help, I also do guided hypnosis.Good luck to everyone with this ailment.

Thank you, my neurologist, won't prescribe Tramadol because he says my neuropathy isn't that bad. So my pain management doctor has subscribed some for me I take 2 a day it helps not only with my neuropathy but I had back surgery with a fusion on L4 L5 and I feel it in my back every day.

The government is coming down on doctors so they feel the pressure. Aetna wanted ti give me a week supply at a time. They were a watch dog for Walgreen and it followed me when I move. Called my insurance and the took that restriction off thank God. Thinking of tramadol er we will see.

Your neurologist obviously has no business telling you what your pain level is. Surely you need to get a different doctor. Unfortunately this one believes their own press releases
I believe the questioner is asking if Mayo considers naturopathy "viable" for treating neuropthy. I,too, ask. Please answer. Thank you.

By is it viable, do you mean is it viable to treat neuropathy?

I work out 5 days a week but I have a gym in my basement and weight-bearing machines also. It does help with the neuropathy

And I work out 5 days a week and it does help at least for awhile.
