Is it Kathryn Nicola and her “Nothing Much Happens” stories? I listen to the podcasts on Apple Podcasts. She tells me stories all night long, so if I wake up she’s still talking in her sweet, calm voice. I feel as if I live in “the Village of Nothing Much” after hearing the stories so much.

I’ve tried listening to soothing music and lullabies, but I find myself singing along in my head, which makes me concentrate too much on the tunes. It’s better for me if I save the music for the daytime when I’m relaxing with a good Nicholas Sparks book 😊. I suffer from tinnitus, so it’s LwYs good to have a competing sound.

@karen1945 My Bedtime Stories are on my 'Echo 8 Alexa' but I'm not sure yet whose soothingly gentle voice is crooning the stories. I'll check that out later today. I have severe tinnitus too, Karen, and just lately have developed Tonal Tinnitus (music that seems to be softly surrounding me and droning on repetitively for 8 or 10 notes, day and night forever and always. Aaarrgh). The Lullabies for Babies I listen to on Echo is all children's nursery tunes played softly on a piano. You're absolutely right to say you sing the words in your head, but at least it's a distraction for me from the 5 diagnosed 'regular tinnitus' sounds plus the 'tonal tinnitus'!
