@karen1945, @tct, and all. I've been on Eliquis 2.5 twice per day for a year or so following 2 strokes and a DVT (GCA), plus Metoprolol half 12.5 mg twice per day since a July 2021 heart attack (GCA!). I don't usually have a problem falling asleep, but am wide awake by 3:00 a.m. and can't fall back to sleep. That translates to only 4 or 5 hours of sleep per night, which leaves me kinda' ragged. I've usually resorted to listening to Lullabies for Babies, which sometimes works to at least relax me into a better state instead of my active and wakeful brain still watching its internal movie of the next day's worries. And @karen1945 , big thankyou to you for suggesting Bedtime Stories for Adults. Alexa is playing it for me now, as I text this msg! I'll be trying that tomorrow at 3:00 a.m. for sure!

Is it Kathryn Nicola and her “Nothing Much Happens” stories? I listen to the podcasts on Apple Podcasts. She tells me stories all night long, so if I wake up she’s still talking in her sweet, calm voice. I feel as if I live in “the Village of Nothing Much” after hearing the stories so much.

I’ve tried listening to soothing music and lullabies, but I find myself singing along in my head, which makes me concentrate too much on the tunes. It’s better for me if I save the music for the daytime when I’m relaxing with a good Nicholas Sparks book 😊. I suffer from tinnitus, so it’s LwYs good to have a competing sound.
