Scan showed a nodule on my lymph node and in my bronchial
I go for a PET scan on Friday. My last cat scan showed a nodule on my lymph node and in my bronchial, It also showed that the nodule in my lung has grown 1 millimeter since the last scan, 3 months ago. Please, prayers for me that everything is ok and not cancerous and do not need surgery. My daughter is getting married on May 11th in Key West and I AM planning on being there!!!!

Stay positive. Following a PET scan which revealed a nodule had doubled in size, I had lung surgery, and two biopsies, one completed at Mayo Clinic, showed it to be non-malignant. Half of the lower left lobe of my lung, and 9 lymph nodes were removed, prior to obtaining the second pathology report from Mayo Clinic. I am now in PT, and massage, dealing with the aftereffects of surgery. Breathing is not yet normalized, and there is discomfort and weakness in my left arm.......which I am told will pass. This was quite an ordeal, and I would highly recommend getting a second and even third opinion prior to undergoing any surgery.

My procedure, (Bronchoscopy) was a nightmare. I woke up choking, gasping for breath, my oxygen level went down to 80. They put me out again, and took the tubes out of my nose. So, that means that they only got a little piece of the tumor for biopsy, which the doctor said yesterday "didn't seem like cancer" ????????? I now have to have another one. I am so scared now!
Oh, Lori, I'm sorry to hear that the bronchoscopy didn't go as expected or hoped. Do you mean you woke up during the procedure?
