I have been on Metoprolol (25mg) and Eloquis (5mg) for about a month now. I have a much harder time falling asleep at bedtime (often taking 60-90 minutes to fall asleep). I’ve informed my Dr about this and am waiting a response. Have others experienced this side effect with Metoprolol or other beta blockers?

I would love to know the answer about Metoprolol and sleep. I take 25mg morning and night. I have a terrible time betting to sleep and staying asleep. I need to bet up 3 or 4 times at night because of having to drink lots of water to help my kidneys. I’m sure this plays a part, but it is then very hard to get back to sleep. I’ve taken to wearing flat earphones and listening to “Bedtime Stories for Grown-ups” podcasts to give my mind somewhere to go rather than my stress and worries! Sleeplessness is such a curse.
