I too have Bartonella Henselae and Bartonella Quintana. I caught mine thru an infected cat scratch back in 2014. I took antibiotics but not enough. Jan 2020 I had a relapse with it,,,it had laid dormant in my (axilla) lymphnodes. (Left armpit). Dr. put me on Doxycycline and the Rifampin for 1 year. I had to take both of them at the same time every 12 hours no eating 2 hours before and 1 hour after. AND ABSOLUTELY NO MILK as that dilutes the antibotics...long story long journey of trying to keep myself alive....normally healthy people could recover easily, but my underlying health issue is Psorisis. Drs tested me for everything from Cancer, HIV RNA, HPV, all were undetected. I was getting blood drawn once a month to check Bartonella Reflex Titers Levels (do you have yours to see what your levels are? check the IGG) the book you must read to know exactly what this disease is doing to you and what nutrients its depleting your body from is the Stephen Harrod Bruhner guide...(oh my gosh,,,this book is a life saver)
Healing Lyme Disease Co-infections Complementary and holistic treatments for Bartonella and Mycoplasma By Stephen Harrod Buhner
I now have been diagnosed with Bartonelliosis. My Dr. explained it like this...I will always test positive for Bart its a bacteria you can kill some of it but not all of it..like Chicken Pox or the Measles. Just a little side note ....The Rifampin and the Doxycycline were to treat the Henselae not the Quintana. The Rifampin wont do anything to the Quintana as the Quintana is resistant to the Rifampin. My Bart level for the Henselae is up at 1,024 (how high can it get? not sure. My Quintana level is at 256.

Welcome @crisrasmussen0402, Thank you for sharing your experience with Bartonella Henselae and Bartonella Quintana. Since you are not able to share links for a short period of time after you join Connect, I thought I would share the link to the book you recommended in your post - Healing Lyme Disease Co-infections Complementary and holistic treatments for Bartonella and Mycoplasma By Stephen Harrod Buhner: https://www.amazon.com/Healing-Lyme-Disease-Coinfections-Complementary/dp/1620550083

I also have cats and wasn't familiar with Bartonellosis so did a little research and found this interesting article from 2019 --- Human Bartonellosis: An Underappreciated Public Health Problem?: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6630881/

Do you mind sharing what you were searching for when you found Connect?
