Skin tags as you age

I had a skin “tag” over my eyebrow that the dermatologist surgically cut out. He wasn’t sure if it qualified as a tag and did a biopsy on it…negative…and it never grew back. I have never had any others…not helpful information I guess.

I heard that they can be removed by being cauterized, like you had, frozen off or cut off. They say tags don’t grow back but, because some people are more prone to them, they grow in the same area as new tags. I have friends who have tags and moles and if it is in a place you don’t see, they don’t bother with it
There are OTC removal products (similar to wart removals) but they take a while to fall off.

You can look up the type of people and some medical conditions that make people more prone to tags.
It may not matter which way the removal is done and I wonder if you have noticed they are in the same area. . If so, the literature about new tags(not the same one ) developing may be true.

Hopefully you will get more experienced response here.

Thank you for your reply. I have so many and they grow really big. Maybe some dr.will think this is an issue.
