I once had the same question, and asked many providers. Unfortunately, I don't think there is an evidence based answer.
Does anybody have any different answer?

I’ve never read anything other than it can induce neuropathy which is enough for me to stop drinking any alcohol. I don’t think there is any evidence based information on occasional drinking making it worse.
