Have you tried the new Protocol 525 product for neuropathy relief?
I have used the original version of the Protocol 525 product (https://theprotocolworks.com/) since 2016. I have idiopathic small fiber peripheral neuropathy with the only symptom being numbness in both legs. When I started taking the protocol, the numbness was just below my knees. After 2 months, the numbness seems to be just above the ankles which is subjective on my part with no additional testing. I do feel it is a win-win for me as my neuropathy has not progressed like I was told it would by the neurologist. I have continued taking the protocol in hopes that it may continue to roll back the numbness symptoms. I have noticed some new feeling in my feet in the last 2 months. Some feeling has returned to me feet and they seem to feel better lately although I still have the numbness – hard to describe the difference.
The Protocol 525 is not a cure for neuropathy. It treats the pain and discomfort symptoms of neuropathy without the drugs which have their own side effects. Have you tried the Protocol 525 or the original protocol? Did it help? If yes, how? If no, please share.
Note: I have no commercial investment in the protocol and I am sharing this information as someone who has found some degree of relief using this combination of supplements. I also discussed these supplements with my Mayo primary care team before I started taking them. The care team sent them to the pharmacist for review who did not have any major concerns for me taking them.

I’m curious if your symptoms were constant or variable, in other words, changing location and /or intensity in body, maybe some days undetectable and other days very numb? Thank you.
Hi @lindasue716, Is your question for @aemedic or another member? If you use the REPLY button under a post, the member making the post will receive an email notification mentionin that someone replied to their comment and hopefully respond to your question. If you use the POST COMMENT button at the bottom of the screen, people following the discussion will receive an email notification but will not know your question was for them.
Thank you. It was a question for the individual who had idiopathic neuropathy with no pain, just Numbness. He was discussing a protocol vitamin. I no longer have that page available. Thank you for the information.
Thanks for responding @lindasue716, It might have been one of my posts but I'm not sure. I have idiopathic small fiber peripheral neuropathy with no pain, just numbness and some tingling. My symptoms haven't changed locations or moved around but there are times when I don't notice them as much. Also since I started the Protocol 525 I feel like the numbness has subsided some and I have a little more feeling on the bottom of my feet than I did when I started my journey. I posted my story in another discussion here -- https://connect.mayoclinic.org/comment/310341/
Hi AEmedic
I too am retired military and current defense contractor subject to random drug testing. I just recently started the protocol and I was hesitant as well due to the hemp.
During a recent Zoom meeting (3/2/2022 at the end of the call) with Bob, I asked and Bob said no and provided anecdotal examples of people who are subject to testing. He also addressed hemp seed oil vs fax seed and why hemp seed oil is more desirable.
I contacted the hemp seed oil manufacture and asked the same question. They provided certification of the THC content as less than 10 ppm but they do not test each batch. 10 ppm will not generate a positive drug test.
My plan is to do the protocol for 3 months then pay to get a drug test thru a local lab to ensure I don't test positive.
My recommendation is to contact the manufacture and research the tolerances of DoD THC testing to make an informed decision.
Good luck!
Doug
Doug, Thank you for the response. I have done quite a bit of reading and feel like it is fairly safe to assume that the levels are so low that they won't produce a positive test result. I just don't like to break rules deliberately... But this is for our health and quality of life...
Doug, I’m curious how it is going for you? I ordered all my supplements off of Amazon. I purchased the exact items they show for the Protocol, I did buy the Ramp-Up but didn’t really need it. I decided to use the all capsule plan and just decided to limit the amount of HSO. I think I am having positive results even though my feet were on fire the first couple of nights… I realized, through research, that the Celebrex I have been on for the last 7 years may have played a part in my PN since all my symptoms have occurred since I started it… So, I stopped taking it and have lots of additional aches. I started taking White Willow Bark as an NSAID. Lots of reading…I came across discussions on MTHFR mutations. As it turns out, I had my DNA data sent to have a MTHFR report created last year. I have a number of mutations in the various MTHFR lines one of which is homozygous, but on the two relevant ones, 677 and 1298, I am compound heterozygous. So, I decided to add Methylfolate. Lots of changes in a short time.
My feet are definitely different feeling now. I have more of an achy diffuse pain and lots of little electric shocks, I still have numbness but it seems like it is also more diffuse. Overall, it gives me hope that it will eventually be better than it has been!
Hi AEmedic
Glad to read you're feeling differently -- that's progress! You're taking the right steps, researching and trying different things. Doesn't matter which works, as long as something is working and giving you hope for a less painful future.
I had to stop the Protocol. Had minor surgery and the doc wanted me off everything for at least a week prior. I plan to re-start after I've recovered sufficiently, hopefully next week. I still plan to do the drug test in 90 days just to be sure.
Good luck!
Doug
I hope the surgery went well. Please report back on how you are doing!
I haven't tried Protocol 525 mainly due to the expense and the program. I am taking EB-N6 and I'm blown away by the results! It's been only 1 week since I started taking it but there is noticeable improvement every day. Although I was already taking almost all of the ingredients they were OTC quality not pharmaceutical strength. In a month I will post my almost 3 year journey with SFN, numbness, no pain. I want to wait and see if this continues to work its magic! Don't give up finding help!
