Hiccups can be so disruptive and uncomfortable. I'm tagging @gaybinator @duvie @jimchardy @concernedmtnmom @patriciagsr @walisky on this conversation to share their experiences with having a G-tube and hiccups.

@dsd1939, do you have a G-tube after esophageal cancer surgery? Are you on chemotherapy? I ask because some chemotherapy drugs can contribute to having hiccups. See this discussion:

What do you do to help with preventing hiccups or stopping them once you have them?

My wife is has the G-tube and experiences hiccups from saliva build up above the stricture in her esophagus. She is waiting for a complete diagnosis of the stricture. Recently, they seem to come on during and after the tube feeding, but subside after a while.
