ACTH results

Posted by johncease32 @johncease32, Feb 14, 2022

My endocrinologist suggested I go to the Mayo Clinic. These are my latest blood results. My symptoms include high spikes of blood pressure including eye blurriness, dizziness, and similar heart like attack symptoms when this strikes at its worst. I’ve been going through this for 7 years now and it was thought it was all caused by steroids use for UC. I got off them by 2020 and was weaned off hydrocortisone in 2021. I had a decent year last but all of a sudden the symptoms came back and are quite frequent especially after physical workouts.

@johncease32, welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect, an online community where people can share experiences and ask each other questions about any health issue. It sounds like you feel like you're back at square one. Sorry to hear the symptoms have returned.

Did you endocrinologist submit a referral to Mayo Clinic? That might be the best way to transfer your care.

I began the process to enter the clinic when my endo saw I had some high numbers and ordered additional tests including an mri of the pituitary. I also have a second endo that I’ll talk with in a virtual visit on March 1.
I am waiting on these. If these fail I’ll pursue an appointment with clinic. It’s a frustrating situation that’s been on and off some 7 years now.
Thanks.

Unfortunately I still have high ACTH so I am still clueless as to what I actually have. But the symptoms have lessened in the past 10 days or so.
