@hello1234

Thank you for all the details @collegeprof
I really appreciate hearing about your successfully treated mass. It is the first time I heard about a mass being "frozen" on a kidney. 😊
Is your CKD in a early stage and currently stable? I had CKD since I was a little girl.

The idea behind the mass, as I said, is to freeze it and it is consequently destroyed through the freezing procedure as I understand. My treatment was an outpatient and I read that this procedure is 90-95% effective. Whether yours is cancerous or not, it can be destroyed by this specialist radiologist. Because you have both kidneys infected multiple times, I am pretty sure you can get an answer by being treated by the interventional radiologist.
With regards to my CKD, I am working with a renal dietitian at Mayo and a well educated Chinese medical doc acupunturist who is also a Ph.D. immunology graduate from Vanderbilt. My last GFR went up in 2 & 1/2 weeks from her initial treatment. The true test will be next week when I see my Mayo nephrologist with my new lab tests.
