@wreath , I cannot have that Lynx procedure as I have way way to much gas build up ⬆️ in my body on a daily / nightly basis . I need to be able to Belch over and over to release it . I don’t have Acid reflux , so no acid is coming up into my throat or mouth . It’s just constant churning and non stop Loud horrendous gas noises in my gut and small intestines that cause 1000’s of deep , belches . When you get LYNX you are unable to belch out the gas out . Sometimes my gas goes out the other way but more often it’s very deep non stop 🛑 burps . I don’t get nauseous too too much but you also cannot throw up if you get LYNX ( it’s dangerous because of aspiration).
It doesn’t matter how healthy I eat ( which I eat extremely healthy), or if my stomach is empty. The problem is always there .
It makes it hard as my husband and I can’t really socialize or go out to eat once in a while like we used to be able to do .
It’s especially bad in middle of night or right before I wake up at 6 am -8 am . Also from 1-4 pm .
It’s just a real mess .
A medical mystery…. All my diagnoses but nothing can help me .
It’s a hard way to live , that’s for sure .
Glad your husband procedure worked for him . He’s one of the lucky 🍀 ones . Thanks.

I am so sorry that that nothing seems to work for you. Don't give up though. I stayed on the net searching for anything to help my husband. And the LINX procedure did solve his acid reflux. However, he had already developed pulmonary fibrosis in his lungs and that was the beginning of the end for him. That's why I tell everyone I know that has acid reflux to get it seen about. May God bless you with an answer soon.

@rozy288 ,
I’ve been following along your journey a while now. It surely is a mystery, but there has to be help out there somewhere for you. What did the Mayo Drs. do for you once you finally got in for a real appointment?

Also have you heard of The Undiagnosed Disease Network at Duke? It’s designed for patients similar to your situation I can send links if you need them.

@rozy288 - I have GERD but not a gas problem like yours. I have the head of my bed raised a few inches on bed risers and it helps a lot with my reflux problem. If you haven’t done that already, I wonder if it would make you more comfortable if you did …? Sleeping on an incline does take some getting used to, but it really helps me.
