Yes they do numbing and then steroid. You wouldn’t want it done without the lidocaine trust me . The bruise in only on right side and it’s a pretty deep bruise. Hoping the discomfort eases soon

They numb you and then guide the needle and keep adding lidocaine as they need to. When they get to the si joint they inject lidocaine and then the steroid
