@jakedduck1 Hi Jake! and @athenalee . Yes, Jake, I still live in B.C. However, life has been hectic lately. I was moved from Campbell River Assisted Living facility to Long Term Care facility in Victoria, both on Vancouver Island, and very far from my family. After much determined trying, I won my case that Long Term Care was wrong for me. All staff and the doctor who interviewed me here agreed with me. It's been a nightmare here, but just this week, I was accepted BACK into an Assisted Living facility, near my family, in the Okanagan Valley, at Osoyoos, BC. It's a long story, but the final happy outcome is that my sons and their wives are making the long trip to move me on February 22nd. We're all elated!! P.S. @athenalee, Athena, I included you in on this message to further my too-short and vague message earlier today! My warmest wishes to both you and Jake, and all. Laurie

@artist01, @jakedduck1, and all...Congratulations, Laurie. I'm so happy for you. This sounds like the best fix and a lot of work. We have steel spines and determined hearts! We can do this and get it best for us, right? I'm thinking of you and the trip and hope you see my pics!!! I finally sent a couple...more to come. Love and blessings, Laurie. elizabeth

Oh, Laurie, what wonderful news! And to be close to family as well...I bet your health wil improve just from the stress relief. Looking forward to hearing more from you as you get settled in a more appropriate setting.
You will be in my thoughts and prayers as you move yet again!
Sue

The Okanagan Valley is beautiful. I’ve driven across the border around there. I went to Western Washington University in Bellingham as an undergrad. I’m so glad you stuck up for yourself and get to be more independent and near family! P.S. Laurie, see my other message too!
