My body worker calls shoes like Hoka “coffins for your feet.” She and I both feel that getting your feet and toes as close to the ground as possible and therefore able to do the navigating for you is best. Let those toes work! Don’t keep them encased in an ivory tower!

When your feet are numb and unable to feel what's under them, it can be unnerving to step on something and cut through your foot without realizing it. Then looking around to see where in the world that blood is coming from....been there done that, not going to leave my feet unprotected again. I guess it just depends on your perspective and how well you take care of your feet.
