Hello Dana. Thank you so much for the explanation. It really helped and now I understand. We are in the Phoenix area. My husband is a retired letter carrier. His body is shot from carrying mail for 27 years. Knee replacement, full ankle replacement but after recovery he still worked until he was able to retire early. His body is shot as he is having muscular and skeletal issues. Due to his stroke 10 years ago and several silent heart attacks he is on lots of medication which limits him on what treatments/medication he can take to be pain free. He is only 62 years old. Since our 2 younger children moved here 6 years ago, we experienced that the climate is better here for his body. Even his drs at the Cleveland Clinic agreed. The final push to move here was the birth of our 1st grandchild. We have been here since November and looking to establish a new PCP/Internal Medicine to manage his meds and medical needs. I am not a fan of Banner Health since I have been told by several people to stay away. However, I am considering Dignity and Honor Health.
We were very fortunate to have 4 great healthcare systems to choose from in Cleveland. We stayed within the Cleveland Clinic network for 20 years.
We are looking to establish the same or similar quality health care here in Arizona. I welcome any other suggestions you may have and thank you for helping to explain how Mayo works.

Your more than welcome and I've heard the same thing about Banner. Most of my doctor's are able to practice at both and there are other smaller agencies.
My preferred for most of my issues prior to the transplant was thru Diginity as my Cardiologist perfers them also. But I've also had great healthcare, if it's Heart related, thru Biltmore Cardiology which uses Abrazo Hospital in Phoenix as it's main Hospital. But them I only recommend certain doctors as I've had good and bad with some who use Abrazo so if your looking for a good EP Cardiologist let me know the one i had prior to Mayo was awesome.

So basically find a Doctor you like as many of them use multiple Hospitals. My favorite Hospital besides Mayo and if a Doctor uses them is Chandler Regional Which was the main Hospital I used prior to Mayo. I'll be available to help if I can. I live south of Phoenix in a small town called Florence so most of my non transplant care is in the Casa Grande area except for Biltmore Cardiology. I'm not real familiar with the different Doctors in the Phoenix area. Have a great day
