Thank you for the reply. I just talked to a Counselor that I found from internet. What he said alarmed me. He said you have to be careful to seek counselling and differentiate between life coaching and counselling. He said some of treatment will stay on their file forever. which may prevent job search down the road. My son just needed some general counselling. there is no diagnosis of mental issue. we have this EAP (employee assistance program). he said even using that will result in a black mark which may prevent certain future employment. I'm confused about this as my son did talk to a counselor last year just to sort out feelings and issues. There was no diagnosis that he has mental issue. I wonder if anyone can clarify this?
