What is LINX? I had my gall bladder removed last March and 6 months later started experiencing severe acid reflex, nausea, etc. Had acid reflex prior but not constantly like now. Doesn't seem to matter what I eat or drink or what I take for it. I have even started vomiting in the middle of the night. I am 70 yrs old and really hope I don't have to live the rest of my life like this, do?

Kelly, The LINX procedure is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). The device is surgically implanted around the lower end of the esophagus. You can learn more from this patient story:

@mrsheart, Mayo Clinic also offers transoral incisionless fundoplication (TIF), a recently developed procedure that may offer relief from GERD without surgery. These procedures require significant experience and skills in laparoscopic and endoscopic techniques.
