In reply to @loribmt …. Beautiful picture! We didn’t know if our old dog would make it til winter, but she has!!! She is a bit peppier and loves to be outside as much as possible. We rescued her over 10 years ago and she was already a dog, so we have no idea how old she is but laying around and cooling her arthritic hips in the snow seem to be things she loves! Besides treats and hugs, of course❤️

There’s such a dignity with old dogs, isn’t there? I have such a soft spot for them.
We remember their puppy days of running with unlimited energy, always entertaining us with their silliness and then there’s the unconditional love and companionship they bring. As we see them age there’s this underlying sadness for what’s to come.
You’ve given this baby a wonderful life. In her heart and head, she’s still a puppy romping through the snow. Give her some belly rubs and ‘lubs’ for me. 🥰
Our daughter and husband just adopted a dog. He’s about a year old and what a little charmer that guy is!! Feels so good to have a doggo back in the family. My husband and I aren’t in the position to get our own dog so until then I take ‘fur fixes’ where I can get them! Something therapeutic about petting our furry friends.
