Hi I am a 39y old male. I have been suffering for years now with lower back pain. Particularly on my left side. When it's bad I can't lift my leg off the ground and at all. The pain is lower back left side at the top of my pelvis. When it's bad and I bend over it feels as if it's going to snap and I won't be able to get back up. Not so long ago my back went and I was doubled over for weeks and had to walk with a crutch

I can only stand for a minute or so without pain

@largeross Have you consulted a specialist about your back pain? There can be problems with pelvis alignment or tightness in hip flexors that pull on the spine in the lower back that have similar symptoms to a spine problem and cause sciatic pain. It's possible to have both of these issues at the same time too. It sounds like you have a good reason to seek medical help. A physical therapist might also be able to help with assessment.

Have you had imaging such as an MRI to look for potential spine issues? A spine specialist would likely authorize that based on your symptoms if you have insurance that would cover the test. Did you have an injury that caused your pain?
