My PCP just referred me to gastroenterology due to chronic GERD and suggested to look into Linx procedure or TIF. I have taken Omeprazole for 5 years and it has not been kind to my bones. I have osteoporosis now and my PCP is selling me Linx procedure as a way out of this dilemma. Can anyone that had the Linx procedure speak to its benefits for them or cons that have arisen after the procedure? Have you stopped inhibitors and did you have problems?

What is LINX? I had my gall bladder removed last March and 6 months later started experiencing severe acid reflex, nausea, etc. Had acid reflex prior but not constantly like now. Doesn't seem to matter what I eat or drink or what I take for it. I have even started vomiting in the middle of the night. I am 70 yrs old and really hope I don't have to live the rest of my life like this, do?

Does Mayo Clinic in Phoenix offer TIF surgery for hiatal hernia/GERD?
