Has anyone had sharp thigh pain after hip replacement

Have they done recent imaging? My friend with a too large stem had micro-fractures, treated by girdling the bone in permanent mesh, and the bone is growing to it. Her pain is less, but not gone.

I’m not sure about recent imaging, but the Dr. was up front with her about the stem being too long….to ME, that is really something in itself. None of my Dr’s would admit to making a mistake.
Not that it’s really a mistake, he said it’s the shortest he could get (then). I appreciate any Dr’s honesty. Plus, she is super thin, practically skin & bone. She’s had a rough few years. Slipped on wet concrete & tore her rotator cuff, had colon cancer & on & on…😩
