I had a TKR 14-months ago and have been in so much pain. I used to hike 10 to 20 miles and I had bone on bone, this is why I had the surgery. 1-year later, I just found out my leg is 1 1/2" longer causing me to have major back and hip pain, sometimes I feel like my thighs are being crushed. I have been in chronic pain for a year. I can't even walk across the grocery store anymore. I just bought inserts and they are not helping.. I never knew I would be in worse pain, to be in pain 24/7 for a year now... I cry all the time and wish I never had a TKR

I understand because I’m there too. I use the shopping cart in the supermarket as a Walker. I also am in more pain after than before surgery. It is saddening to say the least. I do know that physical therapy helped greatly. I’m at two years now and still in pain while my surgeon retired immediately after my surgery and left me without even follow up doctors. And sarcastically I say, I hope he’s enjoying every minute of his retirement.
I hope you can fine a good physical therapist. They can help the most.
