My doctor at a major center does not recommend Prolia for me. The problem is the big drop in bone density when you go off. On the other hand after 5+ years, there is more danger of atypical fractures, though lower risk than we are led to think. Some are staying on it for life. I think if you are older, it's fine but if you are on the younger side, worth reconsidering. Just my view after talking with doc.

Hi, Windyshores. I am leery of taking bisphosphonates, also, because of the reasons you mentioned. Would you feel comfortable sharing what type of regimen you are following for treatment?
