Pain months after Total Knee Replacement
Had tkr nine months ago. Was feeling good till 4 weeks ago. I started working full time and went on vacation were I walked a lot. Now my knee almost feels like it did before surgery. I limp and have a hard time walking without pain. I don't know what to do. My led will not lie straight and the pain is pretty constant.

I am glad you have found a routine that works for you. I agree that each new therapy after surgery creates new pain - recovery is not for wimps, but the end result is worth it. I commented to my husband after one wrist surgery "Who knew that lifting one pound could be so hard?" But I got good use back, and the pain eventually went away.
My daughter, who is rehabbing from a really bad arm fracture, says she visualizes paddling her paddleboard again when she is fed up with her PT.
How do you reward yourself after a PT session?

I never thought of a reward system ….. I will definitely have to give it some thought …..I know we take for granted the things we do every day until we are challenged doing them…my prayers out to your daughter tuff to see our children go through the pains of rehabilitation… hopefully be speedy recovery….
I admire that you can do those things. I am still hobbling along. I did well with my therapy and keep it up, but feel I am losing ground. Asked Surgeon about more therapy to help me out. He response was that he wanted to save that for when he does my other knee!
I still have problems walking with a cane, balance, stairs, and have fierce pain frm knee down to foot. That keepsme from sleeping in bed as the pressure from the mattress on my leg seems tomake is flair up more.
Up until my last visit with surgeon he said I was "right on target? but the last visit when I was telling him the problems and feeling I was losing ground and the pain his response was to just try to work more with the cane. I did ask for more therapy to help me out here, but his response was that he was saving that for my TKR on the other knee!
