Hello
I have the same diagnosis at 55 but in right. Breast.
I am choosing a bilateral mastectomy. And reconstruction.
I personally feel that decision was easy.
I had my team of Mayo doctors know my choice and then put the decision I confirmation in their hands.
I am trusting science and my faith.
I am struggling with my feelings of being a cancer patient.

Boathouse, I wanted to pick up on your last sentence "I am struggling with my feelings of being a cancer patient."

I get that. It's new identity that you didn't choose and one you didn't want. What do you find the most challenging? What helps?
