Hello,
Wellbutrin has been the best drug I have ever been on (and I have been on many that did not help).
I would advise you to tough it out for the beginning if you can. I always feel 'off' when I increase my dosage and when I started it after going off. I have now been on it for 8 years. I was off work for 2 years because of depression before this pill. Now I am completing a masters degree and run a successful business.

When I first started on the drug and when I have had increases it made me feel 'unreal' and dissociated. It sometimes increased my anxiety, ocd, and anger. This always levelled out after a few weeks. CBD oil helped.

I really credit this drug for helping me get my 'spark' back after a terrible major depression. It helped with my sex drive, motivation, and energy levels. The 2-3 weeks of feeling weird was well worth it.

Keep your eye out for signs of feeling very aggressive over the long term. My psychiatrist advised me that this can be a sign of a bad reaction to the medication. When this happened to me, he switched me from the off-brand label to Wellbutrin. I was also on seroquel at night for sleep and ativan for anxiety, you may need something to help you sleep at first.

I have never gotten past 8 days on Wellbutrin by itself, maybe I will try touching it out for 2-3 weeks to see if I can drop the Cymbalta.

I am taking Wellbutrin in addition to Celexa. I’ll never leave them. Combined I stay calm, almost placid & don’t worry about much. Everyone is different & it may take a lot of time to find the right medication & combos. I’m not nearly as energetic (read ‘hyper’) & miss my old energy levels but not enough to change anything about my regimen. When I don’t get as much done today, there is always tomorrow.
