I did have spine surgery at Mayo, and at the time I inquired 5 years ago, I was told the wait for a neurosurgery consult was 3 months after sending in imaging for review. In my case, there was a cancellation and I was seen sooner. The wait for appointments will be different in different departments based on demand and availability with higher priority given to patients with more urgent medical needs as stated on the website.
