I was excited to participate in the health and wellness coaching that is part of the Mayo long-Covid recovery plan; however, I caution you to beware! I blithely scheduled the visits as the “next step” to recovery from long Covid symptoms….. when I had a sudden thought that I should check with my insurance policy about coverage. I found out they ARE NOT covered by my policy and while I don’t want to post the cost (from the Mayo business office) it is VERY EXPENSIVE. No one mentioned (from Mayo) to me that I should check about medical coverage or be prepared for the full out-of-pocket cost. I just wanted to warn you to do your due diligence so you don’t end up with a large unexpected expense. If you are fortunate enough to have a medical policy that covers health and wellness coaching great, but check!

All Health and Wellness Coaching services at Mayo Clinic Integrative Medicine are self-pay. This should've been discussed with you during the intake process or the complementary 15-minute introductory appointment. We would like to review our process to make sure this is communicated clearly to other patients seeking an appointment for Health and Wellness Coaching services.

Hola, estuve en la entrevista por teléfono y me preguntaron por mi seguro, lamentablemente mi seguro no lo aceptaban, pero ellos me dieron la opción de pagarlo y me dieron un monto aproximado para comenzar. Yo no cuento con los recursos económicos para pagar esa cantidad. Pero si me informaron de esa opción. Igual yo ya me estaba viendo con diferentes médicos que si aceptaban mi seguro.
