GI Disorder and Internal Shaking
Hi all. I'm a 21 year old South Asian female and I have been having GI issues for about five years--mainly along the lines of constipation. I do have bowel movements every day but it takes a long time & I am rarely fully cleared out. These GI issues are always accompanied by other health issues (gas, pressure in head, etc). Recently, some scary new conditions have manifested: In the past few weeks, there have been times where my heart starts beating wildly and very fast. Sometimes, when I'm tired and constipated, my entire body feels like its vibrating internally; the shakes aren't visible but it feels like all my muscles are quivering. At this point, I feel a constant shaking/quivering within my body, especially in my heart cavity.
I have had TWO EKG's and both came back normal. All lab tests for diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol, etc came back within normal limits. I am very concerned about this internal shaking. My dad says he found something about how GI disorders can impact muscoskeletal system and since the heart is a muscle, it's contracting and being affected. But I wanted to know if anyone here can help!!!!!!! If anyone knows anything at all please please please let me know!!!!!

I am having this internal shaking also . Have you found a solution for yours?
Since August of this year I have been experiencing similar symptoms! I have been seen by the cardiologist and everything has come back negative. I have seen an endo and every test you could think of was ran (24 hr urine test, bloodwork, ultrasound of kidneys, CT of abdomen) and all these tests came back negative. My symptoms have gotten a little better but it is hit or miss everyday. In the beginning it was believed to be an interaction behind medications I was on however I still experience severe indigestion, heart papiltations, weakness throughout my body, internal tremors, restlessness with extreme fatigue and feeling like I am going to pass out. Recently I have been experiencing this more right after I eat for a few hours and then will go away. I am set up to see a gastro next week but I am tired of feeling this way, it has and is interfering with my daily life. I have never had these issues before and I am hoping someone is able to either relate or provide some answers/hope that I will overcome all of this.
I have everything that you do including the lump in the throat, kinda like I'm being strangled especially when I lie down. The internal vibrations are the worst for me. I literally can barely function with them. You didn't mention insomniac which was my first clue that something was wrong. But it wasn't long before the lump in the throat and the internal tremors were contributing to my not sleeping. I've been to 6 Drs in 5 months for this and I'm suppose to see a neurologist next but they haven't even called to refer me yet. Might I add that I've lost faith in most Drs since all this started for me. Seems nowadays if they can't relate to what you are saying they just dismiss you as crazy. Truth be told this condition, whatever it is has made me not want to live anymore if I have to live with the internal vibrations. Mine are worst in my chest, stomach and basically my whole trunk. I'm also experiencing massive muscle spasms in my back and my arms and hands along with all this insanity. Has your sleep been affected? Hoping you are on the mend.
I see you just responded a few weeks ago. I look forward to conversing with you about these problems. I am a 60 yr old woman. And I e never experienced anything like this. It's crazy because sounds like your symptoms started around the time that mine did. In late May early June this year. I really wonder about the 5G cell towers now. It's been said that some will react badly to the frequency.....
Sounds like the same thing I'm experiencing. Let me ask, do you also feel like massive anxiety out of nowhere with the internal vibrations/ tremors? I really have it bad and never experienced anything like any of this before.
I was just diagnosed with a Hiatal Hernia, have you had an endoscopy done yet? I am currently on medication to help the acid reflux I am having but I still get all the internal vibrations and feeling super light headed or that I could pass out.
I also experience internal vibrations that had no apparent cause except thinking I have gone off the deepend until I read everybodys comments. I never even considered that it could be associated with my digestive issues and they both started about the same time now that I think about it. Thanks everyone for your input its a relief to know im not crazy, which was becoming very upsetting for me. My lower body vibrates and it feels like the floor is vibrating and my side of the bed and I can hear the vibrations( or I think I can) but they arent real to anyone else. To me it feels like the furnace kicked on and is running when I feel the vibrations. Has anyone figured out a way to stop them when they happen?
This is so me!!!! Several years ago, I would notice I was shaky in the mornings and after I eat any kind of a full meal, whether it was just soup or your typical dinner, I would almost immediately get dizzy/lightheaded. It never felt like reflux. I'd ask my PCP about it and she'd have tests run. Nothing. Two years ago I had a massive diverticulitis attack and it turned out to be an infection and through the colonoscopy/upper endoscopy, I was also diagnosed with h Pylori, a hiatal hernia and gallstones. Last year I had my gallbladder removed.
Just this past June I had inflammation in my sigmoid colon - more diverticulitis, and did 6 weeks of Augmentin and a follow up colonoscopy.
Things were getting better a few weeks ago and now I'm back to the shakiness, dizziness and frequent bowel movements. My mornings are horrible. I wake up with the feeling of trembling and dizziness. My therapist said my adrenals are probably not functioning well and he said to take an herbal adaptogen for support. I also just started on Lexapro a couple of weeks back to help with anxiety. It's causing nausea. Great. I hope to keep in the loop on this subject and hope someone finds some solutions!
@trishplace
I may be able to help you with the nausea. What have you tried so far?
I’m sorry this post may be a few years old but I just found and I am suffering from these same things! Entire body shaking, head pressure, no diagnoses, I’ve gone to the hospital they don’t see anything. I am waiting for a neurologist to call but until then I’m trying to find a root to this problem!! Have you found anything?! This post actually made me cry because I thought I was going crazy…
