And good evening again. Let's see what we can do tonight. For those tight/stiff ankles, have you ever done "Legs up the wall". When both of your feet are in the air, turn your ankles 6 times in one direction and then 6 times in the other direction. Now, point your toe to the wall and then back again 10-12 times. These Yoga poses/exercises are specifically for your ankles. I do them every morning to make sure my ankle tissues, muscles, etc. get plenty of practice.

When I was 19, I had a plastic leash put around the tendons and ligaments in my left ankle. The surgeon told me I would probably have trouble with the ankle including pain for the rest of my life, especially during pregnancy. Guess what.....as long as I do "Legs up the Wall", I have no problems as all. My ankle is strong and pain-free. So here is the big surprise.......that surgery was 60 years ago.

Give it a try.....send me a picture if you can. In addition to helping your ankles by turning and bending them, you can build strength just by holding the pose for 5 minutes. Remember that your legs have little valves in them that control the blood flow. Legs up the wall prevents the fluid from settling in your feet.

May you be free, safe, and protected from inner and outer harm.
Chris

Thank you. I do exercise my ankles but I haven't tried this. I will give it a try.

Thanks Chris. I haven’t tried these, but I’ll add them to my exercise regime. I do similar ankle and feet flexing while in bed, prior to rising and also while I’m reading or watching TV. They certainly do help for maintaining flexibility.
