October 28 2021 diagnosed with the Fusiform Dilation of the Celiac Artery measuring 1.8x1.5 cm with no-symptoms at all, found by CT scan.

Jan 29 2014 had cardiac ablation for Afib was found by a doctor visit for a regular check up, had no symptoms.Cardiac Surgeon went through both the right and left groining arteries. Surgery was successful with no Afib to date

2001 Double Hernia operation that was successfully with mesh liner

January 28 1987 was involved in a very bad car wreck where the car was traveling 60 mph and hit the guardrail on the passenger side back seat area where I was located. Broke my left Femur in half just below the Lesser Trochanter about 5 inches down.Brushed both Kidneys, Cracked my Pelvis Bone, Had 3 units of Plasma and was in the Hospital for 2 weeks and out of work 6 months.

Never smoked

Do have High Blood Pressure that is controlled by meds

The VA has not told me anything except they can not help me with this case. They said they were going to inform the Community Care Network and let them know about my case. I had a appointment with the VA Vascular Surgeon today Nov 9 2021 but the VA cancel the appointment yesterday Nov 8 2021 stating they can not help me with my case because they are not familiar with the diagnosis. I will have to contact the VA if I do not hear back from the CCN today. And contact the CCN on if I can choose my own doctor to help me. By what I’m reading the answer is yes.

I am not blaming the VA because of the rarity of my diagnosis but I do need information ASAP because of the severity if it ruptured.

I think the Mayo Clinic would be able to help me and will inform the VA when I get in touch with them .

It sounds like you are being proactive in this matter, @tallbeachbum and that is good. Keep persisting until you get a referral to an expert in this area.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you again. Will you post again when you have more information regarding a referral?

Were you given any instructions or lifestyle restrictions in order to minimize the risk while you wait?
