NAC is a supplement, so no prescription is required. However, that means it is not regulated by the FDA, so "buyer beware" - do not purchase by price alone, or from a random vendor. Look for one that is from a reputable manufacturer. I used to use Jarrow, no longer manufactured. Recently I have been using the NOW brand. Others here may have other suggestions.

Hello Sue. I am interested in taking this NAC supplement. What mg do you take, 600 or 1000? Thanks! Donna
