Right Urethral carcinoma -

Present state: no problem, urine is clear. Not much effect post chemo for lymph nodes.

Need views.

Right Ureter carcinoma was detected in March 2020. Subsequently in April itself surgery of tumor was done. Biopsy revealed high grade carcinoma. Option of cystoscopy. So This was followed by 3 Checkscopy were done in a gap of every 3 months. In December 2020 pet scan revealed metastasis in para aortic lymph nodes. ButNo cancer in original site. At this point chemo treatment started and took 5 cycles of chemo. Subsequently in April 2021 again pet scan was done. And it was all clear both original ureter and lymph nodes. In August 2021 sonography of KUB was done and that was also clear. Our Oncologist was satisfied with report and asked us to come only in January 2022. However we happened to meet the urologist who did the original surgery and he insisted that pet does not show inside of bladder and the case being of high grade cancer we should do checkscopy. We did the Checkscopy the report of which has also been sent you subsequently . In his report he has now suggested removal of kidney ureter and part of bladder. So our query is when there is no cancer in the body should go for removal of the organs now. What would be your suggestions for future treatment..

Hi Mahesh, you ask questions that only medical professionals who can review the medical records could answer. If you would like to seek the opinion of Mayo Clinic experts, please see the contact information for international patients here: http://mayocl.in/1mtmR63
