HI! Which Mayo Clinic will you be visiting? If it’s Rochester, there are 2 beautiful areas to lounge. One is in the Charlton building on the sub level. It has a lovely Grand Piano where someone is frequently playing…be it a guest, patient or staff. I’ve posted 2 photos below.

In the Gonda building there is another lounging area, again with a Grand piano. You can’t miss it because you’ll be going that way from building to building. Buildings are all connected, by the way. It’s around the corner from the cafeteria so you can mosey over there to get a lunch or snacks. On the other side of that lounge area is a coffee shop and the Gonda store where you can do a little shopping.

Also, connected via the ‘subway’ system are shops where you can find a food court, candy store, department stores, etc.

Depending on where your appointments are, if you’re in the Gonda Building, each floor as you come off the elevators, has an amazing view from the windows. There are plenty of lounge chairs to relax and read. Most of the clinic has good WiFi reception if you want to bring an iPad.

Any other questions about lodging or navigating the clinic? It’s very easy to get around with ample signage to direct you to each building and plenty of volunteers with Blue Jackets to assist you.

Let me know which campus you’ll be attending. If it’s not Mayo Rochester we have other members, @danab who is familiar with the Phoenix campus and @ess77 who is familiar with the Jacksonville campus.

Have you connected with Mayo Clinic via your patient portal yet?
