@volkswagon

I was on Arimidex for 10-12 months before my 2nd mini stroke. Arimidex and Tamoxifen both have strokes as a side effect. I was told it is not a common one but my drs were not surprised by mine.

I did not know this either, and I took one for years, then switched and took the other for even more years. Less scary after the fact, I have heard of a lot of side effect mostly muscular and joint, but I had never heard this. Do you have any long lasting effects from those mini strokes?

I'd like to bring @trixie1313 into this discussion. She is a breast cancer survivor and also experienced a thalamic stroke. Although I don't know if it was related to breast cancer treatment.

What side effects do you experience after the mini-strokes, Volkswagon?

Hi Volkswagen ( nice name for cancer fighter )
Have you had any heart problem before? Tamoxifen is
affecting blood clotting,
The blood thinner should help to prevent stroke.
The platelet count in the blood test should be under control.
On contrary, Tamoxifen has positive effect on heart functioning , as oncologist said Still, everybody is functioning differently .
I switch to 10 mg instead of 20 mg
