I’m experiencing Dizziness with Metastatic Breast Cancer
I have MBC dx in June 2018 with Mets to bone and lymph nodes. I have began to get dizzy the past 3 weeks. I am having a brain mri Monday and my last one was in April and all was clear. I have been stable on my first line of meds since dx. I’m freaking out, I have a 7 and 8 year old and I can’t imagine telling them things are getting worse. I’m just so scared, not so much for me but for them.

Take a deep breath and let it out like a sigh. I know that sounds lame but a couple of those can just give you a minute to slow the panic feeling. There are quite a few things in our life that can cause dizziness. Yes, there is the worst case. My thoughts go there as well sometimes. Let me tell you about a few more things, just to distract you a bit and add some possibilities. Proton pump inhibitors like omeperozole, and protonix can cause dizziness, also if you are taking any pain meds or gabapentin. Low blood pressure can cause dizziness. And about a thousand other things including some foods can affect some people this way. Are you taking any endocrine therapies? I will be thinking of you on Monday and I hope you will come back and let me know what you find out. I hope this helps you get through the weekend. Do you have plans this weekend? Something fun with the family?
Thank you. I am on letrozole and Verzenio. I made it through yesterday with minimal crying. I meet my oncologist today at 2:45 for results. Praying for good scans!
I am praying too.
Scans and brain mri were all food! I will be checking into vertigo for the dizziness. Thank you for your support and prayers!
Well, I am so relieved your scans were clean. I hope someone is reviewing your medications and checking blood pressures etc. I sure hope they figure it out soon. Are you feeling relieved? What is the next step for you?
I read some things to do for vertigo and resetting the crystals in my ears. Im going to give that a try!
I just read this article and it filled me with hope for all of us.

I did the Epley maneuver and it seems to have worked on resetting the crystals! Vertigo seems to be gone!
Fantastic article! Thank you for sharing.
I just looked up the Epley maneuver, it is awesome that it worked for you. I bet you are so relieved right now. Are you feeling less anxious?
