@flib It Does. So, are you still nebulizing your saline? Are you doing alright?

Yes, it helps a bit. I do it twice a day. Going to bed is easier as I'm not getting up as often to cough. I also started 4life factor and ginseng and royal honey. The latter just yesterday so I'll let you know how that works for me. My biggest problem is weakness.

@flib I hope the ginsing helps. I had the weakness going on too for awhile. I still cannot open jars etc., and I used to be the go-to person for that! From what I have read, some antibiotics can cause weakness. I read that Cipro is one of them and that is what I take. I had been working with small hand weights and it helps. Today, I am starting back with yoga at 1:30. I found out how important it is to keep your limbs strong. In the past few weeks; I had a pinched nerve in my back, and the only way to move around was counting on my arms and legs. If you don't own small hand weights, you can use cans of soup or something and exercise in your chair.

I'm not on antibiotics so not the source of the weakness. I'm very thin;make that skinny and can't gain the weight back. Lactose bothers me so ice cream etc are not helpful. I go to a gym twice a week "Overload" and work out with a trainer. I was very regular for a while but have missed sessions, feeling to weak to leave the house. The ginseng/royal honey and pollen are working so far. Nice to have them as a back up. Thank you for your help. I'm learning a lot.

Cipro can cause many side effects, probably like most antibiotics. My husband is on Cipro every time he gets pseudomonous. Yoga is excellent and so are walking classes. My walking class is a mixture of walking, dance, Pilates and yoga. It has really helped my lower back. Be careful with weights.

@flib, Oh, I am so glad that the ginsing is helping. I have used it for about 15 yrs now. Did you find it in an Asian market? I have to tell you though, there may be days where NOTHING gets you off the couch, not even ginsing. At least I get days like that. I don't even fight days like that anymore. I just go with it and say "Hey, I am going to enjoy this downtime, relax, watch tv, nap...." If you knew me, you'de know that that is usually hard for me. I have never been one to sit around or watch much tv. Since you are 81, and active; I have a feeling that you are the same way.

@flib I did go to the yoga class today. The first half was chi quong, the second half was yoga with a gong infused meditation. I felt great afterwards! Are you famiiar with chi quong?

@flib I hope you get back to the gym. Not going will perpetuate the weakness.

Yes I know those days. I've learned not to use up my little bit of energy fighting them. I cave and rest, read, nap. But what is still very difficult for me is making plans with friends. Too many times I've had to call at the last minute and cancel. I've lost some connections because of this. Few people can understand how I can be able one day and not the next.I know some think just buck up and get through as if the weakness is, in part attitude. I've stopped trying to explain, in fact, it is somewhat a mystery to me,

@flib I am right there with you. It is hard to make plans ahead of time. I too have bailed on people or just refuse to commit because I cannot count on the energy level. I have lost two friends over it. One was a close friend who hasn't spoken to me since April 5. People don't understand; hell, my own husband doesn't understand. They don't get it. I know it looks like we must be faking this because we can shop all day at a Mall one day, and then the next day; can barely move! It is as if someone had pulled a plug out and every ounce of energy has drained out. It is very weird. I now try to pace myself. I allow myself ONE fun (active) thing to do a day. NOT go to the gym, then out on a boat, then out to dinner........Outtings aren't the only thing I have to pace. I pace everything. Do you find it takes you way more time to get things done than normal? I find that I do things in stages, like little hurdles. Do a little, rest a little, do a little, rest some more. Then there are the odd days where I do have energy and go all day. I think every one of us on here knows exactly what we are talking about.
