Yes, and yes !!! Butt pain, noticeably when sitting in the car, even though my Subaru has normally very comfortable seats. Though it's finally gone away recently, a twenty minute drive used to feel like ten hours. No sitting position on the couch was comfortable, now that has gone away, but lying on my back in bed is still uncomfortable though all other symptoms are gone and all blood markers are normal. And yes, I'm boarder line anemic. Tried 65 mg. iron tablets but after a week they bothered my stomach. I'll talk to my GP in two weeks about iron deficiency anemia. No cholesterol problems. Glad you mentioned this, thought I was a lone weirdo, and even my rheumatologist though my butt pain was an unrelated back problem.

I had this problem along with the "frozen" shoulder before I was diagnosed and started taking Prednisone. I am trying to get off of said drug after two and a half years and the "pain in the butt" has returned with lots of other muscular tightness and spasms so It looks as though I won't be stopping Prednisone after all.

Wow - I have butt pain all the time. I carry a 4 inch cushion wiht me at all times an use it even at home and in the car!

Sadly I had back/hip pain also. I’ve now been diagnosed with AS and PMR. Now L/S hip is degenerated. Got to love that Predisone. It’s all a trade off. Pain or bad joints/bones

Yes. Got stiffer the more I sat and during the night. I take 1/2 iron pill every 3rd day. I have had to take iron for years because of restless legs.
