Osteoarthritis is a very good possibility. My husband has arthritis in several places. His pain is in the left groin also.

@tdrell, Hi Terri. Yet one more thing that you and I have in common. Me too, left hip.

The hip is a possibility but my husband does not have any pain when he walks. The groin pain comes and goes as well as back pain in the middle of his back. I wonder if it could be the Mac infection spreading. He had his groin x-rayed and nothing showed up about 3 months ago. We hope to see his doctor his week.

@2017 Suzie I have middle back pain and have groin pain when my back is bad.  He might want to consider a MRI ( no radiation) for his back. It had nothing to do with my MAC.

So many aches and pains, it is hard to know what is causing them. Thanks for your reply!

Is this pain in hip related to bronchiectasis / MAC? I have arthritis in left hip too.

@clpc and @suzie2017. I and a few others on this site also have some arthritis. From articles I have read about mac; many people with this disease also tend to have arthritis. More commonly, rheumatoid arthritis. I think it has to do with poor immune system.

Does anyone else have Anklyosing Spondylitis?

@pkayh My sister-in-law does. It affects her back and her eyes. Do you have it also?

Hi @pkayh, you will find discussion about ankylosing spondylitis in the Bones, Joints & Muscles group. I encourage you to take part in this discussion group:
