I'm an 80 year old woman. I live over an area where i have to drive a windy road past a canyon. Do you think I could handle hand controls? I'm in pretty good shape except for the numb feet, but my hands aren't particularly strong. I got the neuropathy from chemo.

Hello @raebaby, I'm Rachel. You sound awesome and I think it's great you are inquiring about hand controls for driving with neuropathy, at 80 no doubt.

I live in Michigan and I was required to take drivers training for hand controls. I felt quite sure of my skills before I took my test. It doesn’t require a lot of strength but it did take a while to get used to it. I would certainly drive during a quiet time of day and practice in parking lots before attempting anything dangerous.
