Has something shown up on your scans after mastectomy/diep flap?
I just had my first scan (MRI) since my mastectomy/diep flap reconstruction July 2020. Of course something has shown up and I feel like vomiting. The recommendation is for me to go for a mammo and ultrasound. Has anyone else had this happen. There is no lymph node involvement and there were no cancer cells in the tissue removed with the mastectomy.

Prayers going out to you.
I will add my prayers to that. Take a deep breath and blow out very slowly, repeat as necessary. That is how I cope.
Good questions that I will need to ask with my upcoming follow up with the oncologist nurse. I had right breast mastectomy with an expander at the same time. My surgery was on July 28th. I wasn't told about anything that could come about after my surgery. I've still got to get my final implant surgery someday. Does it ever end! I hope the best for you.
I chose to have belly fat put in breast. No implants for me.
with fat in good breast- I know fat reduces down a bit But, also a bit of sag.
Has anyone heard of having mesh put in to keep breast perky?
I had mesh put in under sinus when with cadAVER BONE when getting teeth implants. so why not?
Hate to see all the nice work Plastic Surgeon did wind up as a Before pix!?
I'm guessing that I didn't have enough belly fat. Nothing was said about it at the time of consultation with the surgeon. And I'll be near 69 years of age when the permanent implants get done. I'm thinking they should last up until my last days. Wishful thinking! The plastic surgeon said that he would also take my port out at the same time. Although I was told that it can stay for up to six years.
don't know how much fat is needed for implant but, don't want a foreign thing in my body.
Yeah, it's best if there are choices. While on chemotherapy treatments, a woman showed me her belly, where they took fat; I didn't ask where or who did her operation, but whoever did it, left some horrible bad scarring on her abdomen. I should have asked her if she was able to get a medical malpractice suit.
What state was this belly in? How long ago? mine in CA: clean breast w fat looks like a 35 year old. Belly looks like a 28 year old - brand new navel - better than the former one! Very please and with necrosis from old Radiation. so as good as can be.
A tummy tuck and breast reconstruction all in the same process. I have seen a few friends with this that looks great.
Washington state, but I couldn't tell you if she is from here or where she got her surgery. This is what she told me and showed her belly to me. Only saw her the one time while getting a hydration treatment. I wish now that I would have seen her again so I could ask her some questions about it.
