I also ended up with neuropathy from chemotherapy treatments; which I only had two treatments for breast cancer. My last treatment was June 7th. I noticed the numbness on the bottom of both feet first in August and then in both hands, although not as numb as my feet. My oncologist said it would go away, but didn't say how long the numbness would last. I read in 3-5 months, and maybe just partially go away. He didn't suggest any medication for me. My pharmacy suggested this ribbing oil called Frankincense Myrrh: temporary pain relief, analgesic and anti inflammatory. Homeopathic 2 fl. oz. Comes with a dropper. I rub it on the bottoms of my feet at night. I've used now less than a week. It does keep the inflammation down. I'm wondering about the alpha lipoic that you mentioned .

I think the alpha lipoic acid has helped. I was told to try L-Carnitine also, but two days in a row it made me vomit. My feet are getting better. I had many sessions of chemo. Now I only go every 3 weeks and get Herceptin which isn't damaging like the Taxol. I don't know why they would only give you two sessions for breast cancer. I was dreadfully sick about 2 weeks into the treatment and the Taxol dose was lowered by 20 percent. I told the doctor I didn't want to take Taxmoxifen for the next 5 to 10 years as I heard it thins my hair and other miserable side effects with only a 2 percent better chance of staying in remission. It also doesn't hurt to try the D3 (5000 IU) and the K2 that I ordered from Amazon. I have ordered some shoes that supposedly help my feet with thin soles but knobby bottoms so I can feel the pedals and have them stick to the pedals. I was told to rub geranium oil on my feet mixed with other oil to make it less strong. I haven't tried it yet. I also bought that on Amazon. I've had good luck buying CBD in oil form and gummies from CBDmd on line. I have the numbness in both feet and one hand except for my pinky finger. The other hand is fine.
