Hi, all. I’ve found that Arnica lotions/ointments work well. You can find at health food stores and online. I use one made by Weleda, a German company. It’s a lotion. I put it on my feet and lower legs at night. Hope it helps you.
The steroid shot for my knee only lasted around a month before the pain came back but it cleared up the inflammation due to arthritis.

Good afternoon. The cortisone shots do the same thing for me.....give me a vacation from my small fiber neuropathy pain. It is not recommended that you have more than 3 of those a year. I get them for a hip problem that has been around for years. I am trying to keep it tolerable.
May you have peace and contentment.
