Research on TMJ: What treatments work for you?

You had TMJ surgery at Mayo? Did your insurance cover it? I have been to so many doctors and dentists and PTs. An MRI showed that I had very little blood flow to my right jar joint. Haven't felt well in over a year.

No, sorry. I was responding to someone’s comment about general anesthesia and TMJ. My joint pain was helped by my PT, she did a maneuver to my jaw and the pain stopped. It will occasionally ache but I did not have trouble after surgery, which was on my back. My jaw pain started after biting down on a hard energy bar, i heard it pop. No one could offer any help, meaning my primary doctor nor my dentist, they pretty much just shook their heads. Your issue sounds different, I pray you find a doctor who can help you!
