Hello all! I am new to this group. I seen a lot of questions being posed about the OSIA 2 device.
I have had this device inserted for my right ear for my hearing loss and I LOVE IT since feb 2021.
I have had bad hearing loss since I was 9 years old and been through the MANY MANY hearing aids. If you have questions please reach out.

Did you loose complete hearing in one ear? Does your other have good hearing? What are the ways your implant helped?

Hello, it is reassuring to hear that your implant is working well for you. I am having my Osia2 device configured and attached on July 13th and have great expectations. I am in an usual situation in as much as the ear which is being addressed partially works on occasion, for some reason there is some sort of allergic reaction going on in that ear. In spring it pretty much shuts down completely but then in July it comes back to life, unfortunately no one really seems to understand why. Have gone through allergy testing last and finding nothing it is confusing and frustrating. My only concern right now is what is my brain going to do with two signals coming at it from the left side? Hopefully it will be able to cope and make sense of it all.

Can you wear helmets with the Osia?

Hi! I also have the Osia for 2 years now for my left ear . I do not find it helpful in louder environments like restaurants for example. The background noise overpowers the volume of what the Osia is transmitting. I’ve addressed this to the audiologist and we are at maximum volume. Is this just me or is that normal?
